I wonder if someone can help with a problem I have with a thermostatic shower.
Recently I replaced an older thermostatic shower with a new one that fitted straight onto the original pipework. Good I thought.
However when the shower is turned on generally only cold water comes out (but not all the time - sometimes it's ok), so I turn it off and back on again straight away, there is a sound of air bubbles from the shower head and the water heats up ok. Sometimes the water goes cold when you're having a shower, so turn it off and on again and it's ok.
There is a pump that runs when the shower is turned on and that's in the airing cupboard by the hot water tank which is all on the same floor level as the shower.
There wasn't a problem like this with the old unit. The missus just wanted a new one - you know how it is.........
Any help greatfully received
