Reminded me of the "Man from the Pru" with his collection and the bloke knocking on the door asking if we had any knives wanted sharpening, coal deliveries down the hole in the pavement.
and the test card in the afternoons with some great accompanying music.

and our nieghbours collecting the poo from any horse and cart thet came down the road. At first I thought they were keeping the street clean but then to my digust I found out they used it to grow bigger vegatables in their garden.

Putting some cardboard in your bike spokes, held on with a clothes peg and pretending you were riding a motorbike

Wearing your coat by just the hood, and then bombing along on your bike so the coat flew up behind you

We used lolly sticks, never thought about cardboard, maybe thats why ours sounded like scooters instead
