We've recently moved into a 50's built bungalow. MY own fault then, I here you cry. Installed in said bungalow is the biggest, heaviest piece of **** I've have ever had to consider using. I of course refer to a Rayburn!!. Why people get all whimsical over these monoliths is beyond me. We've already had a new gas controller fitted, the timer control is continually banged when the doot is closed so its been shaken to pieces and now, the heating doesnt work. The heating reset switch on the front keeps popping out!! It used to be every now and again, now, as soon as you pop it back in, it pops out again. Thankfully, we can still cook. (Even though that means remembering to turn the bloody thing on a fortnight before you want to boil some water. As I type this, the central heating pump as just made a ghastly noise which I guess is not unconnected. Sort of a squeaking. Anyway, the whole central heating system is contiunally getting air in it. Especially the radiators on the top floor, I'm always bleeding them. I'm not sure where to turn next. Earlier today, hot water was gushing into the expansion tank. By the way, more squeaking from pump just now.... What do any of you guys sugest I try?
Thanks for letting me vent my spleen if nothing else.
cheers
