“When the war started settler leadership understood they had an unprecedented opportunity to step up ethnic cleansing for the area,”
Sarit Michaeli, (international director of rights group B’Tselem).

Taking land by building homes and communities on it is slow and expensive. Taking control of large swathes of dry hills by bringing in animals and using them to intimidate, isolate and bar Palestinians is much more efficient. Israeli settlers now have full control of more than 250 sq km (100 sq miles) of land in this part of the occupied West Bank, where a decade ago only Bedouin herds grazed, said Dror Etkes, founder of settlement monitoring group Kerem Navot.

Palestinians have been forced out of this area, which the international community has earmarked as part of their future state.

You can read the full article in The Guardian - if you have the time (or the inclination) but i wonder how the post-war map of Palestine will look once Israel has claimed this land in the name of their God and defied UN resolutions, International law and their Western allies.

What a refreshing thread.

Indeed.

But what's the point of Hamas leaders and representatives of other Palestinian factions in Gaza going to Cairo for talks on the second phase of the United States-led Gaza ceasefire deal, amid a teetering ceasefire that Israel has repeatedly violated as its genocidal war continues, while Israeli settlers force Palestinians out of their territory earmarked for a future state?

You forgot to mention 6 Hamas terrorists attempted an ambush on an IDF unit the other day, the 6 Hamas terrorists were killed obviously.

It might also have been worth mentioning that Hamas leaders have agreed to 'hand over all authorities' in Gaza to an independent Palestinian technocratic committee, in anticipation of part 2 of the ceasefire agreement.

I'm just trying to get it straight in my head because I've lost track. Is this the stage that originally would have included Tony Blair.

No need. you've already done so.
That's why both sides of the discussion get aired.

If the Judeans were not exiled from their country, and if there was never a large-scale emigration of its agrarian population, what was the historical fate of most of the inhabitants?

I am seeing nothing here that the Palestinians are not doing also. I dont get it. The destructive behavior is bad in the shop, but you also saw palestinians dancing in the street and tormenting the jewish hostages, I would say that is worse.

Waffle? Looks more like they used something darker for their surrender flag.

Don't click on the link if you are squeamish or despise the truth. (y)
"The IDF doesn't shoot a person who raises their hands," said Herzi Halevi.

He said Gazans with a white flag must be arrested and not shot "if they lay down their arms and raise their hands".
