Thoughts on hybrid polymer?

Hi all, I've recently inherited some hybrid polymer - most recently the soudal high tack.

It seems to be great, and I could see myself starting to use it for pretty much everything.
...but before I get too far down that road, I though I'd check with wiser heads here-
Are there any downsides? Are different brands much of a muchness?

Some have good sticking power but not so much give.
Some are good for all round uses with stick and give.
Some don't smell very nice while other hardly have any smell.
Some have more specific uses.
It's all the data sheets online for each mastic.
I just use a £7 ish all rounder.
