I suspect the CH 3 Port Valve of possibly sticking!

I removed the electrical top box to expose the valve shaft. I rotated the shaft with a spanner quite easily.

When viewed from above, I note the shaft can be rotated from 5 to 12 position thru to 10 past 12 position. This seems a rather limited range of movement! Is this the norm, or should it rotate further either way?

Thanks...

When the actuator is off, you shouldn't need a spanner to rotate the valve! It should move easily just using your fingers.

Replace the actuator.
Move the lever at the end of the valve from Auto to Man
You should feel resistance and hear the gears turning
Release the lever
The lever should return to the Auto end
If the lever does not return automatically, check if it is moves easily in the slot
If it does, the valve is stuck open.

You may be able to free it by lubricating the spindle with a silicon based oil.
