Danfoss HSV3 Vs. HSV3B - 3 way port valve

My existing domestic ch/hw system has a Danfoss HSV3B - 3 port valve installed and I want to know if I can do a straight swap to HSV3.

I understand from the Danfoss literature that
the "B" version spindle rotates through 45 degrees and the other rotates through 360 degrees, but I don't understand the practical implications of the need for this.

Any practical advice would be appreciated.
