I have the above system boiler and have recently noticed a rapid, quiet "ticking" noise which seems to be coming from the PCB / user control panel area.

It's only noticeable when the utility room is otherwise silent and continues whether there's a call for heat or not. It stops immediately on disconnecting the power.

Otherwise the boiler performs exactly as it should.

Can anybody help me identify / address this noise?

Thanks!

I had predicted those replies :D

As it's well away from the gas side, I don't expect there's any danger to worry about, other than to my wallet?

Doesn't make them any less accurate or valid.

The guilt i feel toward the customers I inflicted these shitboxes onto has no bounds.

Even offered a few a "cost only" replacement option when the repairs were getting embarrassing. Ideal can suck my hairy plums if they think I will say anything positive about their domestic boilers after these pieces of camel faeces.

Dan, I didn't say (or think) it did!

You've certainly confirmed that it's a heap of junk, but I don't see much point in paying to replace it until its either dangerous or useless!

Very true. As long as the POS is functioning it is just as efficient as a new boiler.

All I'm implying is that I wouldn't spend very much (sub £200) on keeping it running. Why reward the manufacturer with spares sales when they obviously had no respect for you as a home owner when they designed an sold the abortion that is your boiler.

Makes me laugh when I see their poor twarts... sorry.... sales reps driving around with "the magnificent 7" stuck to the side of their rep wagons. As if the long warranty on their new shit boxes is worth any more than the bit of bog roll i just wiped my 'arris onto ;).
