Hello i'm looking for some advice and/or tips.

I've just had an inset wood burning stove installed and had a chimney breast built to accomodate it and the flue. I plan to tile the full chimney breast with a porcelain tile. As the breast will get seriously hot i am concerned with how the tiles will perform, i.e. will they stay stuck to the wall with all the expansion and contraction.

Also is grouting a good idea or not? and what spacing would be recommended?

Has anyone got experience of this?

Cheers

I tiled the base of a fire place about a year ago which has been used through the winter and no problems so far.The tiles were quarry tiles and the adhesive used was granfix flexi rapid and wide joint flexi grout (5mm spaces).
No cracks in the grout and the tiles are still solid so far :D
