I just pulled up a very old linoleum tile floor off a cement slab, there's a coating of glue on the cement. I'm wondering what I need to do to prepare the floor for ceramic tiling? The floor is very level and smooth and no has cracks just the adhesive from the old tile.

I would ask the tile adhesive manufacturer, or supplier, whether there is likely to be any reaction between their product and the lino glue.

If not, then you already have the ideal surface for tiling onto!

thanks for the help. I ended up getting a adhesive striper,n now I just have a clean cement floor to tile. :D

You mean to prime first, and then to tile, I presume?
