The lino in my bathroom is glued down with what I can only describe as industrial strength glue produced by NASA. Is it possible to tile over the top of the lino or can anyone suggest a realistic way of removing the lino that won't take forever?

Sorry if this is an utterly stupid question. I have a sinking feeling that I'm going to have to remove this lino one way or another!

Yuk!

We had disgusting adhesive tiles in our kitchen and had to remove them (and all the sticky glue backing) from the floor before it could be tiled over!

Only way we managed was a chisel and hammer and then some industrial strength solvent cleaner stuff to get rid of the backing!

Sorry it's such a stinking job!
