Hi,

I am about to build a bulkhead (i think that's the technical term) from plywood to conceal some pipes in a bathroom. I then intend to tile this with ceramic FLOOR tiles.

My question is, what thickness of plywood should I use? As space is at a premium in this room, I'd like to you the thinest possible.

Also, what kind of priming do I need to do before getting the thing tiled?

Many thanks!

You can get away with 12mm ply if it's supported about every 16" or 9mm ply if supported every 12". That's just my reckoning anyway.
If round a shower, you need to tank it then tile it.
If not in a wet environment, use whatever primer the adhesive manufacturer recommend for use on ply. If they say no primer - don't use a primer.
