Hi, I want to retile my bathroom and I have tried taking off a couple of test tiles and all the old plaster came away with the tiles taking the wall back to bare brick. My plasterer advised just tiling on top of the old tiles. Is this possible and/or advisable?

Thanks

if its a straight wall it is possible, but how many times are you going to tile over tile? a 10 m2 room over time becomes 5m2 do the job properly get the lazy plasterer out and good one in, get the right men for the job, a good tiler wont tile over tiles.

Agree with that advice. The quickest way is not always the best way.

Roughcaster.
