Hi,

I'm going to be fitting the bathroom in an ensuite loft conversion I've just had completed. The builders have put 18mm ply on the floor in the ensuite. If I put noggins every 400mm between the joists, would the ply be OK to tile onto or should I replace it with something else (or add 6mm tile backer on top)?

Thanks

My tiles are on chipboard using correct adhesive.
Was a powder and liquid I mixed together

"Recommend you put down 6mm no more ply or hardibacker and tile onto that"
Also make sure the joints are staggered and not in line with the ply joints.
