tiling over cement

need to patch small area of wall in my kitchen with cement, how soon afterwards can i fix ceramic tiles to it

If it is a ceramic tile you can actually bed the tile straight into the sand/cment. Whilst the screed is still wet, brush the back of the tile with a neat cement/water mix (mix water and cement together until creamy) and tap into the screed. When set, around a couple of days, those tiles are not going anywhere!

nice to not be able to use a floor for a couple of days :LOL: ;)
