Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice, just brought a 1930's house and about to tile the kitchen / diner.
The dining room has 18mm floorboards in the middle with a bit of concrete on either side and the kitchen is all concrete from where it has been extended. Looking to put down porcelain 600x600 tiles.
At present the concrete and floorboards are level.
Should I:
a. Put down 12mm plywood across both floorboards and concrete, then use flexible adhesive etc.
b. Replace the 18mm floorboards with 18mm plywood, flex addy etc.
c. Place 6mm backer board over the floorboards.
I want to keep it all level so there is no step up from the kitchen to the dinning area.
Thanks for any advice.
Jason
