Hi,
I have a 70's build that has an external cupboard that backs onto our downstairs loo. The cupboard is under the loo window and is approx. 1 metre cubed making a rather large window sill. The external wall is cladded with wooden slat.
My plan is to knock out this cupboard to make the loo bigger.
As it is such a small opening, I was planning to block it up just using a insulated timber stud wall and then re-clad the entire part of the wall
My plan was;
Cladding
25mm void
Breather membrane
12mm OSB
100mm Celotext
Plasterboard
Skim
What does anyone think?
Or do I need to get a builder in to brick it up.
Many thanks,
