Hello All
My extension for several reasons will be a timber frame sat on top of a masonry/concrete ground floor.
The timber frame upper wall will be clad with oak T&G run vertically so the build up will be:
140 Timber Frame
Breather Membrane
19mm batten
19mm counter batten
19mm T&G Oak Cladding (laid vertically)
Question is should I be running a line of intumescent strip close to the base of the build up above so that any fire from the ground floor externally cant get behind the void behind the cladding and then run up the building?
Thanks
D
