Has anybody claimed their DIY build VAT very recently? How long did it take for your money to reach your account? We put in our application at the end of June and they replied that they are getting a large volume of applications at the moment (are developers sending in applications?)so it would take up to 6 weeks to approve the payment. We called them today and they told us that, upon approving the payment, they send the instruction to another office, which can take up to 15 working days to make the payment! (we need the money now).
Also, did they find a lot of things to remove from your application as "not
valid"

What DIY build VAT?

this interests me as well !

I'm pretty sure frediaz is referring to the VAT exemption on new builds. ;)

Which ironically makes demolition/newbuild more attractive than renovation for a lot of developments
