Read article May 3rd 3003 I have almost the same problem. Chris R sorted out 'Klunk' can he or others help me. Changed to a Tempus 7 from an old 800 series timer. Did not mark wires. The pump and boiler are wired to the clock, the divert valve (see picture) has 4 x coloured wires including earth.
I have attached brown to the the live side of the clock, and blue to the last terminal on the clock. I cannot get individual DHW or CH it is all or both!? The orange and grey wire connect to nothing, top or bottom of the Honeywell valve. I would appreciate any guidance. ('')
