Hi trying to work out what I need to get a timer that can be directly wired to a hot water tank please I anyone has any ideas? Can't find out on searching Internet and I'm lost!!! Thanks

It depends wha you are trying to do, but you really need some sort of interlock or the water could become lethally hot.

Well we have a hot water tank that it switched at the wall but it will just keep boiling if we don't switch it off so I was wondering if there's a timer that could replace the switch that could be set to just come on once a day or boost for an hour or so? Thanks

I'm not so hot on immersion wiring but I'd suggest you might need an electricians advice as to what timer would help as I'm certain a central heating type timer running immersion would overheat and be unsafe.

If your immersion just keeps on boiling up when switched on
then you should not be trying to control it with a timer.

The thermostat is obviously knackered and should be replaced
with some urgency. Call a plumber or electrician to get it fixed
before there is a dangerous incident. :!:
