My 2p worth

Moderators on this forum can only lock, delete, "spam" or move a post. Admin is the only one who can ban a user, so far out of the 93495 registered users, the only people who have been banned are those who were banned "automaticaly" by the spam filter. A few others have been sent "polite emails" but no real user has ever been banned, nor are they likely to be.

admin look at it this way. If you don't like the way this forum is run, then go away

talking of violations, is not advising diyers to remove the boiler interlock and run a system on all trvs a clear contravention of building regs.? not just not put one in,but remove one thats in and working. This was the latest "advice" from BB i read today. he should be barred from the site.

he should be barred from the site.

That is your opinion.

If you incorectly make a quote on DIYnot, should you also be banned?

You, like so many others on here forget. This is a forum, it is not a Q & A board

Any one can ask any question (within reason) and then anyone can reply to that question. If the reply to the question is right or wrong for that question, it does not matter, since it is the opinion of the person who posted it. It is up to the person reading it if they choose to take the reply as correct or not.

You should also consider that moderators are regular members of the forum who have "extra buttons" they do not have to be qualified in any particular field, and due to the high volume of posts made it is not possible to check 100% of posts, so some "errors" will be posted, which is also why there is the Alert Moderators button.
