Hi there,

I have a Macdee concealed toilet cistern that often has issues due to limescale build up as the water in our area is very hard. First the flush syphon got stuck in the up position due to limescale build up and so it no longer flushed and then not long after the entry fill valve also got stuck and so the unit no longer filled with water. Because it is concealed each time a part gets stuck I have to cut through the silicone sealant, clear the limescale and then seal it all back up again.

I am wondering if there are any parts which will not be effected by limescale? Would an arm fill valve be better? Are there alternative types of flush syphon?

Thanks for any advice.
