how do you get the top off a toilet cistern .The old type are fine -you just lift it off.However , the new(to me,anyway!) ones have a silver push-button to press in to flush.I am flummoxed as to how to get the lid off. Also, this same toilet always made the usual noise filliing up but a week ago I noticed that there is no noise at all after flushing.The toilet does fill up and there is no problem whatsoever, but I would like to know how the cisren can fiill up absolutely silently ! I cannot get the top off to investigate!
