Put simply how do I remove this flush valve I have pictured please. It is rigid and I have tried to remove it the only way I know how, but it is so reluctant to move from it's cradle and space is really lacking to get a turn on it I fear I may break it. Help, some kind person in the know answer this for me please, for I understand that this unit can be simply replaced with another one without major dismantling. If anyone knows the make and model of this unit, it would help me considerably in getting a new one.

The nut is on the underside.
I guess that's a low level box?
I don't know if that particular one is repairable as I tend to just replace with a fluidmaster

Cistern is plastic and really small,so I don't know if a fluid master would fit or I would replace the whole lot, but I always thought these flush valves somehow twisted round and off to expose a large rubber washer that deteriorates over time and one simply renewed that and popped it back in again. I do not know if a fluid master would indeed fit the outlet hole either, it does seem from perusing the internet that this flush valve is a siamp but quite what the model is I don't know.

I've got one of those. Had to cover it with clingfilm to stop water spraying out
Mine has a flush that twists ACW, clicks and lifts out.
Had to replace it twice. Each time one of the two clips that hold the flush lift broke.
Used this one: B00VX68DIG (Amazon code)

It was stuck but I have since released it tab broke off and so did some of my skin, effing nuisance, no room to move in the smallest cistern I have ever seen.

Barely see it in the picture, it is blurred, however moving on I have heard from you tube and the like that there is no need to renew the bayonet ( basket) and the replacement will just fit in the old bayonet without problem.
I can see it fine. No, you rarely need the new bayonet style basket

Going down all listings of both flush and fill valves on Tool station and Screwfix and anywhere else I could obtain immediate measurements from none fit this pitifully small cistern which is why I had to go for the Siamp. It does seem to me that when this Siamp maker founded these cisterns they looked after their future by making something that would only fit their products, genius really as this would ensure their future in this competitive market.
