Had to replace the toilet inlet ball valve+tube mechanism as leaking at base.
It's bottom entry with arm/ball valve, 11" height, from inlet thread tip to top of right angle going to arm.

Checked at B&Q, they only had one version which was 12" height.
Thought it would probably fit & bought it.

Checked at Wickes, Homebase, Focus DIY, they all only have similiar 12" high type.

Replaced it & found it's just a bit too tall for the toilet lid to fit on.

I haven't checked at plumbers merchants, but will I have a problem getting 11" high type ??

Found a slightly shorther ball valve mechanism at Graham plumbers merchants, 1" shorter than the standard 9.5" ones. I tried 5 other plumbers' merchants, they didn't have it.

Strange it's so difficult to find this as another company told me on telephone that these shorther 8.5" ones are 20% of the market.
