I'm about to do the framing for a bathroom / toilet and will be using a top-hung sliding door on the outside of the room as I don't want to use a swung door so I can maximise space. I'm trying to work out the opening for the door to allow enough overlap so that you can't see into the room around the edge of the door. I'm going to be using 1981x838x35 door (see link) and was considering a 76mm (3") overlap meaning when the door is slid open there will be a 686mm opening for people to get through. Is this right and will that be enough for people to comfortably walk through? Also when closed will a 76mm overlap be enough to prevent people from looking down the wall and into the room? For info in the fitting instructions, I believe the rear face of the door will be circa 20mm from the face of the wall.

Last en-suite I built had 600mm opening, plenty of room ( no door)
