Well can someone help, I tried screwing it anti clock wise but it didnt seem to help

Is it all turning?

If so try holding the threaded section.

If that don't work your going to have a problem. trying to cut it off, or it may be time for brute force.

Its turning, should I keep turning the thing around the screw? anti clock wise?

Thanks for the reply, I would get someone but I have money issues so I'm going to try my best to fix it my self

"Its turning" does not answer my question

If it all turning you need to hold the threaded part whilst turning the wing nut

Anti clock and clock wise, depend on your point of view

If you where looking straight at it, it would be anti clockwise

but you are working upside down so to speak, So it would be clockwise viewed from above

Screw doesnt move at all, I could only move the wing nut, I have tighten the wing nut with my hands anti clock wise and it still leaks. Maybe the screw could move if I loosen up the wing nut, should I give that a try?

Im looking at it like how I took the picture :P so its anti clock wise

This is getting beyond a joke if you are going to fix the leak you need to dismantle the cistern from the pan

Then you need a new fixing kit and a new doughnut washer.

And there are a few different types make sure you get the correct ones.

Also fit a new flush valve while your at it, it will save you having to strip it all out again in the near future.

Anti clockwise to take the nut off, I think you need to do some research before you attempt things like this in the future,

You need to know the make of the cistern.
To do a proper job you will need,
1, a new fixing kit
2. a doughnut washer (it may come as part of the kit)
3. a new flush valve

Does it leak all the time or only when flushed?

If it is leak all time, flush valve seal has failed. You will need to remove cistern and replace flush valve and new close coupled kit.

If only leak when flushed, you will need to remove cistern and replace doughnut washer.

If your bottom of cistern is touching the pan, there isn't much you can do, you need to do above.

Daniel.
