Can anyone tell me how to turn off the gas from this type of valve, when u remove the screw cover there is another screw inside, anti-clock wise removes the screw and gas comes out, but when I screw it clock-wise it feels like it goes down forever and I'm scared incase it drops inside the fitting, the back of the cover has a slot that locates into the scre head. Any help much appreciated.

take off top cap, then screw in clockwise and it should stop and seal.

If any problems make sure you know where your gas isolator is.

if you are planning to isolate the gas appliance connected to this isolater i would assume you are planning to remove the gas appliance itself? by disconnecting the gas supply without being corgi registered you are acting illegally and dangerously please think carefully about your actions not only do you risk your own life/property but other peoples. over the years i've attended a few gas explosions as a result of diy work on gas line please take note its not worth taking the risk to save a few quid leave it to a professional
