Toilet Leak

Hi All,

We have a Jika Cubito Comfort Raised Height Close Coupled toilet which is constantly leaking. We are not sure what to do and how to stop it. Everything seems find on the inside and have a video which can hopefully help.

When you say "constantly leaking" are you referring to the dripping sound starting at 0:21 in your video?

my apologies. basically the toilet is running, it runs all night. We placed blue die in the cistern a few weeks back and in the morning the toilet was filled with blue water.

That suggests that the flush valve isn't closing properly - probably crud on the seal.

Isolate the supply to the cistern, flush and rotate the flush valve (the large fitting in the centre of the cistern) anti-clockwise. This should allow you to remove it - check the large rubber washer at the base of the valve. If its got crud on it give it a wipe (same for the fitting it mates to in the bottom of the cistern. If the washer is distorted or stiff then replace.

As above , I would recommend replace with a nabis optima 49 , as these are inter changeable , also replace your fill valve with a fluid master pro45b as again it's easily replaced

Hi All, I removed the flush valve and there was a tiny amount of water left at the bottom of the cistern however the water was still running constantly (in video). You probably can't tell in the video but the water is still actually still running into the toilet. The seal on the bottom of the value that I removed looked almost as good as new however the same amount of water that always runs was still present.

Could it be something else?

You're right about that. Stop waving your camera around and use your words. There can't be water running out unless it's also running in

don't take up using a camera for a living , can't be bothered to re-read the op , has this toilet always leaked or just happened ?
