Toilet makes a humming noise

Does this happen shortly after flushing the toilet ?
If it does the float valve needs servicing ,or replacing.

Depends on the make of the valve ,as is the availability of parts. Diaphragm possibly ,or partial filter blockage, debris somewhere within the valve. Often best to replace the whole valve
