Hi all,

My grandad rung me up saying that he has an internal overflow on his toilet but its not cutting out once the cistern is full. He says he has replaced the washer but it still continues to fill over.

Could it be something else or has he not fixed the new washer back in properly?

Without seeing it for myself im just going by what he has told me.

Any ideas would be great

Many thanks Darren

sounds like its not put back together properly. depending on what float valve he has

maybe if he has adjusted the arm then the water level is now too high and will continously spill over the siphon, etc and into the pan.

or the diaphragm/washer needs cleaning/valve needs cleaning (some have a filter/mesh) - grit can block up the valve seating and stop them closing fully./properley.
