Toilet seat fixing access on BTW WC

I need to replace the toilet seat on a back to the wall Jacuzzi Damea WC, which does not allow access from the front or side to the fixing nuts on the underside.

I do not really want to remove the whole pan to get at any seat retaining nuts. Is there an easy way to do this?

Is it possible to retrieve the old ones by carefully loosening the existing fixings?

Sorry Andy. I've just discovered that a new seat will include new fittings anyway.

That’s because they are not retrievable and you will end up with a pan full of shrapnel
