My top up light seems to be coming on more than usual. i had to turn the valve twice today. is this anything to do with the cold weather? We have recently built an Extension at the back of our house,a lounge, a toilet/shower room, and a utility room. The lounge and toilet have radiators in them. All ahs been well till a few days ago. Is a leaky pipe under the floor a possibility?the boiler is a voikera.

Yes if your boiler is losing pressure and there is no sign of a leak or water coming from the pressure relief pipe outside, you probably have a leak in a buried pipe.

As I suggested the last time you posted this, it would be of some use if you could provide a little more detail (http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6026)

However, can you tell us what pressure the system is currently operating at? Can you tell us whether you have tried bleeding the radiators?

sorry to butt in but I have been discussing a similar problem on my own combi boiler by Bosch..do all boilers have a top up light? Is this a way of finding out when to top it up?

A combi boiler has a low pressure sensor and so will not fire up without sufficient water to protect it from dry firing and causing damage
