Hi
My toilet has torbec variflow opella flush valve and bottom entry adjustable filling valve. lately the water has started trickling in to the bowl . i will be gratefull if there is help out there to identify the problem and how i can put this right. (trickling of water is intermitent and not continues to the best of my knowledge) thanking in advance.

flush valve is either:

Overflowing
Sticking open and not dropping back into place
Button sticking
has a faulty Rubber washer, which needs cleaning or replacing

Daughter just reported a similar problem and it sounds like one of two things

(a)Either the water inlet valve is allowing it to overflow and permitting a continuous trickle into the overflow pipe. I believe there is some form of adjustment to control the water level. Or the valve washer may be worn and need replacing

Or (b)the flush valve washer is not fully returned to closed position after flushing. Could be caused by the washer or the wire from push button not allowing valve to seat fully.

If you lift up the cover without straining the wire you should be able to see if water level is entering the overflow pipe. Also does jiggling the wire stop the trickle
So you have to first determine is it (a) or (b)

If neccessary have a closer look at one in B&Q
