hi guys
i inherited this laptop and it has high sentimental value rather than financial, since taking ownership of it i have used it once and it worked like a dream this was 7 days ago and i turned it on today for the wife and it booted up and said something like windows update installing, then screen went black and hasn't returned to normal. if i turn it on it lights up as if its working and disk drive sounds like its working etc but screen totally dead, I have tried all manor of things i have found on net like turn off remove battery for a while then turn on and nothing changes it
any advice or help you can offer would be highly appreciated.
