Hi All,

Our kitchen ceiling needs to be repainted. It's only small but we've had a leak above a couple of years ago and I need to scrape some of the flaky paint away, put some Zinsser BIN on it, etc. The issue I have is that once I've scraped the flaky paint away they'll be a slight difference in the thickness of the ceiling which, close up, will be noticeable (due to the thickness of the paint and plasterboard paper). Should I fill this or not to worry?

Cheers

It all depends on how thick the old paint is. You can always apply a soft filler and lightly sand it back.
