Tow Bar Wiring for Vauxhall Astra 2001

I have fitted a towbar to my car a Vauxhhall Astra 2001, however I have not wired up the electric hook up socket as I am not sure about the rear lights wiring colours. I can't get access to my Haynes manual as I am in the process of moving house and it is in a box in storage.

I need the trailer when I move, so am a bit desperate for the information.

Any help would be appreciated.

Some Vauxhalls have a plug on the wiring loom. If you buy a Vauxhall towing wiring kit, it just plugs into the socket.

Hi Guys I have also just fitted a towbar to my 2001 Astra and have yet to complete the wiring does anyone know where the plug on the loom may be,
or if not does anyone have a wiring diagram of the Astra's rear lighting system.

Any Advice would be really appreciated

If they still have it, it'll be tucked up in the rear panel behind the plastic. If they don't do it that way any longer (I've not done one for years so no longer know) you won't need to know the wiring code, you'll just meter it out.
I can just about remember the colours you need to know to wire the tow bar.

Hi, don't know if this is too late but here goes,
orange of buzzer-left flasher - BLK/WHITE.
blue of trailer -fog light - BLK/BLUE.
grey of buzzer - right flasher - BLK/GREEN.
brown of trailer - RH tail - GREY/RED.
red of trailer - brake - BLK/YELLOW.
black of trailer - LH tail - GREY/BLACK.
white of trailer & black of buzzer- earth- BROWN.
