Looking to install a towel radiator and running the pipes. Are there set standards for pipe width so I can set the pipes in position before buying the radiator?

I see there are typical widths like 450mm, 500mm and 600mm etc. Are the pipe widths also standard for these?

Also seen another company which sells the radiators sized on pipe width. So a 450mm pipe width towel rad is actually 480mm wide.

Any advice appreciated.

Not really, If you take 50mm off the width of the radiator that should be a reasonable guess for the pipe centres. Difference from the wall is more difficult, that can vary quite a bit.
