inconclusive as ever...the industry has huge interests in everything being as clear as mud!

One of the things that is important in terms of efficient energy usage is how the systems are used..a heating system on for 4 hours a day will use less gas than one on for 24 hours a day so any research trying to justify an approach is bound to fail.

One thing is sure though... with that in mind a trial needs to be undertaken on two identical usage regimes in two identical houses to really se the benefit.

and to compare strategies you need to do it in the laboratory....
