TPMS re learn Tool

Ford 2015 Focus
Had warning re TPMS (they don't last forever battery dies).
Had 4 new ones fitted only one would go through the re learn process. So dealer got replacements, today go have new ones fitted re learn process failed again. So we kept trying different ways to do the re learn, the only we could do it was to remove the tyre bead so we could actually touch the sensor. It was though the learning tool couldn't penatrate the tyre/ rim.
We had 2 learning tools. Anyone else had issues.

Have you driven the car a few miles?

Fords can be absoloute pain to get them to register. But it is usually worth testing them before refitting the tyre, to make sure they are recognised by the tool.

I hate tpms systems with a passion .

If you use re learn tool, you don't have to..but I've just done 2 x 3 miles and it's OK
..but they say you need 20 to 30mins
