turn the rads off, although theres loads more things it could be if the only info you give is just no hw

sorry when you turn the hot taps on cold water comes out, the rad's are all working find and i've checked for trapped air, it's a conventional system...

Are you talking hot water to your taps ?

Have you got any water ?

when i turn the hot taps on cold water comes out... the ch and hw have been on for about 3 hours now... the radiators are working ok... and cold water comes out the cold taps...

thanks,

It could be air but also could be the motorized valve follow the top pipe that goes into the cylinder and see if it has an airvent.

Sorry don't follow it to far it should be very close

there's a pipe coming out of the middle of the cylinder which appears to have a airvent on it ? should i open that ? (it appears to be the same as on a radiator)

That will get the air out of the coil but if you still get no heat to that pipe its a problem with the motorized valve.
