I have panelled this garden room with beech-faced ply... ceiling and walls, finally getting near the end (there will be trims and things to hide the joins)
I plan to treat it all with preserver (Sika guard) having been caught out by mildew before, but this can be over-treated with stains, varnishes as normal.
I am trying to choose between Osmo Polyx and Manns extra tough interior varnish. I use Manns in a log cabin and it seemed nice, but I've been told PolyX is a really good product - however requires more preparation and sanding between coats.
I want to protect the walls and interior pine cills against scuffs, coffee cup rings, children playing in there, etc. It needs to be functional and somewhat tough, over beautiful.
Open to any advice, anecdotes, etc.
