Tree Recommendation

We're just about to have a big Sycamore tree removed from the corner of the garden as it's interfering with power lines. It'll allow some much needed light in but create a line of sight between our upstairs rooms and the neighbours.

Any recommendations for a columnar native tree, max height 10-15m to exist in the corner of the garden to break the line of sight rather than block and overshadow the garden?

We live in a heavy clay area.

I'm very fond of rowan or mountain ash. I wouldn't describe it as columnar but it is slender and it's fine in clay.

Lets dapple sun through, small leaves so mot much of an autumn mess.
