Trench / foundation blocks - all lightweight now?

When I did my extension a few years back I ordered dense concrete trench blocks. There were massive, something like 215 x 215 x 300 so we’re easy enough to lift.

I’m just about to start my garage build so planned to use the same, but all I can seem to find now are the lightweight / aerated kind - Thermolite, Celcon, etc.

Is that all that are supplied nowadays? And if so, is it worth using them?

(I used 7nm thermolites on the inner skin of my extension and didn’t find the particularly solid).

Thanks folks
Andy :)
