Trickle :(

Is the basin in the same position as before? How was the hot piped up then?
yes, the pipes were running along the outside of the shirting boards, very ugly. The taps were 15mm feed tho, not this small bore things.

Your new taps need 2m minimum head as per the specs. If your storage cistern is sitting at a low level in he loft you could be right on the limit. Older taps were much more forgiving.

FFS What?
And what did steelmasons teach me? Certainly nothing relevant about this thread Picasso has already said he was not offended so why steelmasons input on my manners?
No big expenses, a few meters of pipe, more time wise.
I happened to mention that you were rude towards Picasso to which you then thanked him , you then decided to make a big deal out of it by asking if I'm the school teacher.
I merely pointed out your arrogance towards Picasso as I had nothing else to add.

Jesus Now I am offended, have you read any of the replies ?
Yes read all replies.
I understand a twin balanced pump is better but this is to a basin, not a shower where temperature is more critical.
Ok.. so in normal circumstances would the head (1.8m ish) be sufficient for the small bore taps?

Mine is sitting on the loft floor, I guess at 1.8m to top of head.
The older tank was in the bedroom above the immersion heater! 1.5m

FFS because you have been given the advice regarding single vs twin pumps and the benefit of having a balanced hot and cold water supply.

I'll let the primary school teacher reply next and maybe he can teach to you your reading and comprehension!

Yes, if the taps are designed to work at that pressure. Did the old ones work OK?

NO!!! What part of this reading malarkey don't you get. Your taps require a minimum of 2m head, you have 1.8. Now 1.8 is less than 2 so what do you think? You have already been advised of this yet either choose not to read it or ignore it.

for example : 0.1 bar (1.45 psi) is equal to approx one metre of height between the bottom of the water tank and the outlet of the tap or shower.
1 metre height of water = 0.1 bar
2 metre height of water = 0.2 bar
3 metre height of water = 0.3 bar
4 metre height of water = 0.4 bar
etc

2 metres then!

Do you reckon I could fit a single impeller pump?
Haha I can hear wasp nests being disturbed.
Your sole intention here is to deliberately ignore other members in order to give yourself a rise...
Now fook off.
