Looking for some advice here.

I bought the following door online as it was suitable for my height req'd and would need trimmed on the edges (28mm).

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Con...ear+Pine+Door+1981+x+838mm/d210/sd3238/p87316

However, on receiving the door from Wickes, it states on the door that it is trimmable up to 12mm which i wasn't aware of. I realise I can return and get a refund, but searching the web it was the closest solid wood door I could find for my size req'd.

Would I be pushing it to take 14mm from each edge? If so, why? I thought as it was solid wood amount trimmed wouldn't be an issue (and here is where I am displaying my lack of interior door knowledge!)

Cheers

The sides are probably engineered and have a 15mm veneer on each side.

Take it back and get a true solid wood door if you can.
