How will the upcoming attack on Iran go.

Absolutely, Iran has a massive drone capability that can be flown from anywhere, inmpossible to locate in such a vast area, the ground troops would indeed be sitting ducks. Lots of body bags will be required. Only ground troops that could go near landing to gather intel and do some hit and run missions would be small units of special forces. Even then where is the gain?

Now consider this. The Chinese and Russian are supplying targeting info to Iranians ( hence key sites belonging to Isreal and USA have been taken out by missiles that are too fast to be intercepted
Two aircraft carriers that can provide air cover and are out of harms way and defended by multiple ships- fighter jets fast as they are, will be flying for a while before they provide protection to troops that have landed.
There is talk of putting a carrier with VTOL fighter and apache copter closer in but that has not happed as yet ( lone ship perhaps?)

Talk was dropping troops on Karg Island where the oil is processed, Although Israel are up to something in the North East (Mashad - 2nd largest city) with dramatically increased airstrikes. Either cutting off the escape route to Afghanistan or preparing to open a front?

Who knows?

Saudi and UAE are putting pressure on Trump to see the job through to the end.

SA has frequently expressed a wish for the head to be cut off the snake but might change its tune if their desalination plants are targetted.
 
From what I have read so far on here is as bad as Trump thinking putting boots on the ground is a good option. If anyone thinks that this would be a quick and easy sollution then think again. The worlds economy is taking a hit and it is normal people who are paying the price, puttng boots on the ground would spiral these costs out of proportion. This is a can of worms that has been opened up and has now already reached a path of no return, an operation like this would take a considerable amount of planning like Putin has done, he has had this in planning for years and built up the money to sustain it, he was surprised by the time frame and resistance he has faced, the same applies to Iran, they wont roll over and be an easy win. This is going to be a heavy commitment military wise financially and politically to get the Strait of Hormuz opened up and safe guarded. I cannot see a quick sollution at all now, Trump is wading in like a madman.

He’s irrational. There is a sense in which this whole thing is like a series of the Apprentice, he comes up with good story lines, but he can’t control the narrative.

China is getting oil from Iran, no blockade there.
Sure Chinese missiles are being used with Chinese targeting info so the missiles are getting tested.

If Chinese alliance will be changed then who to while taking black gold from Iran?

It is said that Trump does not read anything the staffers give him as he has short attention span. Forget if it was CNN or MSNBC, it is reported that Trump likes to see clips of things getting blown up instead of solid intel.

In the real world they weren't working on it. They probably do see it as the only way to stop the US and Israel attacking them, but they know they'll get hammered if they do try to build one, and to be a fully effective deterrent they'd need a few dozen and they don't have that much material.

You are so gullible like a lot of people to actually think than Iran are telling the truth!!!! The regime is a terror one. They are intent on spreading Islamic extremism and on killing people. It is HIGHLY likely that they were still working on getting nuclear weapons. Anybody who thinks any different needs to get their head out of their backside!

So many on here and across the world are being fooled into siding with the Iranian regime!!!
