To protect British interests and our people who are over there at the moment. By allowing our bases to be used for attacks on Iranian missiles will drag us into this anyway now. This is going to escalate into a serious situation and will probably involve Iranian retaliation attacks on the UK. Trump has certainly made. the world more dangerous than ever with his ego now.

I fail to see how they could do this given Iran has already announced a successor and are carrying on with their threats to everyone. This is going to be yet another western mistake.
