I bet he won't say that when the first American ship goes down.

He’s got what 80bn of naval assets in the region. The super carriers are hard to sink, but probably not that hard to hit if you overwhelm the CIWS.

"Pete Hegseth, the US defence secretary, said the American attack represented "the first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War Two".

Heggy is more ignorant than a "defence secretary" should be.

Israel and USA have different war aims.

Whether or not he's correct, it's such a pathetic thing to boast about.

Without their navy America wouldn't be able to project power anywhere in the world.
These big supercarriers are loaded with 1000's of tons of explosives and aviation fuel, if they are attacked with missiles they have to take down every one, if one of those missiles that are designed for deep penetration of a ships armour manages to get through and hits inflammable or explosive ordinance, it will make an awfully loud bang.

Hopefully that won't happen but they should be very careful.

Dunno but maybe they put them in a tin and replace the lid after that have taken one out

Spanish PM did not mince his words...

Clearly not afraid to challenge the US president further, he said governments were meant to improve people's lives and provide solutions to problems, not make them worse, adding: "It is unacceptable that leaders who are incapable of fulfilling their duties try to cover up their failure with the smoke of war."

Ouch!
